Accessibility Statement
Rocket-Monkeys is committed to making its own website rocket-monkeys.com accessible. The benchmark is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA / the European standard EN 301 549 – the same standard underlying Germany's Accessibility Reinforcement Act (BFSG).
Conformance status
Based on our self-assessment, this website is largely conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA. "Largely conformant" means the requirements are mostly met, with a few non-essential points still being improved.
What is already in place
- Full keyboard operability with visible focus and a "skip to content" link
- Semantic HTML, a clear heading structure and landmarks for screen readers
- Colour contrast to WCAG 2.1 AA in both light and dark mode
- Labelled form fields with accessible error messages
- Respect for the system "reduce motion" setting in animations
- Text alternatives for, or hiding of, purely decorative graphics from assistive technology
Known limitations
- A decorative, slowly scrolling technology marquee keeps moving even with "reduce motion" enabled. It is purely decorative, carries no information and pauses on hover. A fully static variant is planned.
- The staged chat in the header is a design element. Its key statements are also available as regular text, readable by assistive technology, elsewhere on the page.
If you notice a barrier not listed here, we'd be grateful for a note.
Preparation of this statement
This statement was created on 12 June 2026 and is based on a self-assessment. Testing was done with automated tools (axe-core) across all page types in light and dark mode, plus manual checks (keyboard operation, screen-reader sampling, colour contrast). The statement is updated as changes are made.
